Duration: One day
Departure: 7:00am
End of the visit: 6:00pm
Itinerary:
This program is designed to visit the “Wakas” (sacred places, temples, altars and sepultures) of the Ceq´e. For the Inca, the cardinal directions—north, south, east, and west—composed the Ceq’e, and it is upon the Ceq’e that the Inca built their system of highways and divided the empire into its four regions or provinces. These four regions were called “Tawantinsuyu” (Tawa=Four and Suyu=Region). During our trek, we’ll also enjoy the company of musicians and interpreters of native Andean ancestral music. We’ll begin the hike on Calle Saphi (Saphi Street), and then walk through Q’espiwara, Chacán, Lanlakuyoq, Laq´o, Kusillochayoq and San Blas. Lunch will be served en route, and we´ll even participate in and traditional celebration known as “Kaswa,” a Andean feast that invites everyone to participate.
